Rise of Latent Semantic Indexing in Google Search

Google recently killed the tilde search operator (~) and it seems to be a sign that Google search might soon give more priority to Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI). The tilde search operator have been used by only a few SEO consultants, SEO strategist and SEO managers. The tilde search operator returned synonyms of words and this could have really helped search engine optimisation consultants to easily search out semantically related terms and words. As a leading SEO consultant in India, I always took tilde search operator (~) as a boon to determine more relevant keywords of my website's most important keywords. I can't seem to think of a reason as to why Google dropped the tilde search operator other than assigning more importance to latent semantic indexing (LSI) in Google search results. LinkedIn has launched a new simplified view of "Who has viewed your profile ?". The new simplified view of profile visitors makes it easier for every LinkedIn user to check who, what and how their profile have been discovered on LinkedIn.

Premium LinkedIn member also have the ability to filter search results by weeks. Google Panda Dance is the new Google Dance

Google panda dance is the new  Google dance. Panda algorithm is updated every month. The effect of Google panda update is slowly pushed out over 10 days. Matt Cutts, the search spam head at Google has confirmed Google panda dance during SMX Advanced.Why do Google need panda dance? Earlier Google had regular updates in their algorithm to rank the most relevant results for each search query. The increased webpage competing for same search query have made Google change its algorithm every month. The SEO saying "Content is the King" is still relevant with Google panda dance. Panda is all about having quality content on your website. Older days SEO's will remember the effect of Google Dance. The Google search engine result page rankings (SERP's) used to go through a change each month. The Google Dance disappeared as time passed by but now Google is forced to bring in Panda update to keep relevant results for each query made by a user on Google, the search giant.

The Google Dance never stopped but Google after a certain period made only small incremental changes that made SEO's feel that Google has stopped the dance. Now Google is focusing more on low quality content and that is the reason for Panda dance.

Google+ rolls out new version for its Android application on mobile phones

Google + (Google Plus) rolls out a new version for its Android application on mobile phones. Google+ rolls out a new app for iOS 4.4. The new roll out on Google+ will enable better notifications and updates on both Android application and the web. The Google Plus notifications are easier to manage both on the desktop and mobile. Google + will also release a new version on Android application that enables mobile phone users to delete images from photo view. The new version will also tap in and show the number of +1, re-shares and comments. Once the new version is rolled out for Android application then the same will be released for iOS. The notification syncing feature in Google+ will enable users to read or dismiss notification on all device and platforms at once with the exact action one platform. There will a new bell icon for notifications that enable users to easily find new notifications. Notifications are also group on the basis of read and unread. The new features of Google+ offer a great help to mobile phone users.
