Role of Latent Semantic Indexing in SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)

Content has been the king, content is the king and will be the king always.Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) is a document indexing process/ content indexing process of discovering words and phrases that are similar to a search term from website content. Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) is going to be used more by search engines to show high quality websites in their search engine result pages. For example search engine optimisation semantically related words and phrases would be SEO, SEO services, search engine marketing, online marketing, internet marketing, website optimisation and online promotions. LSI is getting more importance as search engines are tweaking their algorithm in a way to show the most relevant result in their search engine result pages (SERP's) for each word searched. LSI now playing an highly important role in returning the best result on search engine results pages (SERPs) of each search engine. Google being the search engine leader always using the updated search algorithm to show the most relevant search results on their search engine result pages (SERP's). I really mean what I said in the case of content. Quality content is king as long as you keep it better with good keyword technique and give greater importance to the user. A quality content will definitely have the right proposition of keywords and synonyms to make the search engine spiders understand that the content is not just to rank the website on top but rather for users who will get valuable information from the content. I have now explained every aspect of LSI and hope that this will really help you all to generate high quality content that offers users the required information.

Leveraging LinkedIn is the best way to grow your professional network

LinkedIn, the professional network celebrates 10 years of relationship that matters. The professional network was started on 2003 by Reid Hoffman and his old colleagues from SocialNet and PayPal. The growth of LinkedIn accelerates with the introduction of address book uploads in late 2003. In 2004 LinkedIn introduces new features like Groups and partners with American Express to promote its offerings to small business owners. In 2005 LinkedIn introduces its first business lines: Jobs and Subscriptions. With the launch of public profiles in 2006 LinkedIn achieves profitability. In 2007 LinkedIn becomes a truly global company, opening its first international office in London and launching Spanish and French language versions of the site. The professional network steps into hyper-growth in 2010. LinkedIn has 90 million members and nearly 1,000 employees in 10 offices around the world in 2010. In 2013 LinkedIn celebrates its 10th anniversary with 225 million members, and is growing at more than two members per second. The growth of a professional network from just 4,500 members  in first month to 225 million members in 10th year is certainly a great achievement. The tagline of LinkedIn “Relationships matter.” is clearly true when we see the growth of this professional network. I am truly honored to be part of LinkedIn. Five Tips for Developing An Effective Social Media Contest

Visual media is going to take the online world as a storm. A picture is worth than thousand words and in the same way a video is worth than thousand pictures. Videos are a great way to convey your message effectively to targeted audience. Videos can convey the message in most fastest way. Around 50 hours video are uploaded every minute on YouTube.

More than 600 videos are posted on Twitter every minute. People send double the time of pages that have videos as compared to pages without videos. Mobile video viewing has increased more than 30%. A person who have watched a video of product/service is 75% more likely to purchase that product. A video is the most effective way to convey your product/service to customers. If you haven’t started using videos then it is high time you start thinking and this blogpost will give you a reason:

I recently took part in video contest run by The Center for Internet and Society and Hivos Knowledge Programme where I got to learn more about the importance a video contest has in branding a specific cause. The digital natives video contest offered a platform to bring out creative digital stories that described “What makes your life so click-worthy?”. I choose to participate in the contest to promote genuine social media initiatives. A social media video contest is one of the fastest ways to reach out to a huge number of people.

How to build a successful social media video contest?

There are 5 simple steps to create a successful social media contest.

1) Create a contest idea

The first and foremost thing is to create a contest idea. You should have an interesting contest idea with clear marketing goals.

2) Offer a prize that is worth winning

You need to offer a prize that is worth the time and effort of the participants. The target audience should feel that the contest is something worth playing.

3) Keep Simple Terms and Conditions

You need to make sure that the contest terms and conditions are simple so it interest more people to enter the contest.

4) Use Clear Metrics To Measure Success

It is highly important that you measure the success of the contest. You should measure the success based of reach, participation, buzz created and increased traffic to the website/blog.

5) Announce Results

You should announce the results within the specified time. You should also thank each and everyone for their valuable time and send them the winner list.

As we have now discussed the way to create a successful campaign the next step is to review the outcome from your contest. The main thing behind reviewing the contest is to learn about the shortfalls and mistakes and to correct them in the future contest. Hope you all have got the idea on how to promote your product/services through video contest. A video contest is the best way to reach to a large number of audience in a short span of time.

I read the mail and it really touched my heart as it made me think it was a call for me. I had been waiting long to pen down my dreams about Melbourne. I always wanted to visit Australia especially Melbourne. The first thing that came to mind after reading the mail was "Think Melbourne, Think Victoria". Melbourne is the most popular tourist destination in Victoria state, Australia. The reason why this tag came to my mind was due to the Melbourne cricket ground.

I planned to head over to the Official tourism website of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia for visitors from India to learn more about Melbourne attractions, culture, art, dinning and entertainments so that my trip to Melbourne is definitely going to have a well organised travel plan. Soak No More Digital Media

We are a generation which saw a lot of changes from Radio to Television, Walkman to iPod, Desktop to Laptop then to Notebook as well as Netbooks, Telephone to Mobile then to Smartphone, Floppy to CD etc. Our generation is now living in a virtual world where everyone love to keep social media relationships more important than real world relationship. We had a good social life but technology and digital media have now acquired the major share of our life. The biggest question now is do technology offer us a better life or it is taking away our skills. I used to remember lot of telephone numbers in my mind before I had my mobile phone. Now all the numbers are in my mobile phone and I hardly remember the phone numbers of my friends. The life today is so much fast that I don't get time to build a relationship with my neighbours and far off relatives. The world is becoming so nuclear that each person is inside a virtual room. We need to break the digital chains and come out to mingle with the society. The most important aspect of human beings is that we need to live as social animals. Now the world is so virtual that we have a digital society instead of a real society. The current scenario is dangerous as the children growing will never learn about the importance of being a social animal. Society is highly important as we need to have good human being in our surroundings. The good and bad in human beings are generated by family, situations, circumstances and the society that mentors each and every person. If there is no real life society then "How can we mentor future generation ?". Every human being should take a strong step to ensure that he built a society that can mentor the next generation.

It is okay to use advanced technology and digital platforms but it shouldn't soak your real life. If digital media starts soaking your real life it is high time you plan ways to pull out of it.

This is my entry to The Surf Excel Matic "Soak No More" contest organised by Indiblogger.
